About Us

As long time community activists, Richard and Denise Marie Snow conducted workshops and seminars for community and economic development organizations in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, PA. In speaking with local residents, they found that many community members were not properly educated on critical financial topics or had little knowledge of professional attributes that would secure career advancement and subsequent future wealth. This lack of education was being passed down to younger generations creating a vicious cycle of impoverishment that has devastated low and moderate income communities. Financial Empowerment for Minorities (FEM) was created out of a desire to have an immediate and lasting impact on community members’ economic futures through interactive education and training.
